tons of events…

i dun even know where to start….

had my 1st ICT aka reservist for the old foggies. 5 days, full of nothing. yes nothing cause we were basically waiting 80% of the time. or sleeping. only ‘major’ event was IPPT aka Napfa for the girls. got my silver, was the fastest runner in my wave at a timing of 10:21. think my fellow NSmen have to start training harder. Oh i kenna Platoon Sgt. (means more shitwork to do lah! @$#@%) Before we left, got informed of the next ICT in June 2007. 16 days. SIXTEEN DAYS!!! i’m sooooooo gonna be bored to death lah… oh well, till next year~

Connie dearest, hon, came back in the midst of my ‘nation-protecting’. Five years.. too long.. she looks so feminine now~ married women are different. hahaha~ Gosh i missed her. It’s like she never left when we started to chit chat~ and her husband Chai is so cool! and nice and handsome and (positive adjectives x 100)! Come back again soon hon!!

SOW comm gathering at my place. 22nd Dec 2006. it was wild, it was fun, it was OILY! hahhaa we fried so many stuff, that we used up all my mum’s cooking oil in the kitchen.. how about tt for feasting. gift exchange was hilarious, with Mus and Jo staying over for some PS2 gaming.

23rd Dec was christmas dinner with the Cresentians. hahaah well i’m the only guy with a group of 7 Cresentians. dun ask me why, but i’m accepted lah. Chinese High boy somemore… =) buffet at the Furama (something something) hotel. hahaha not to be confused with the Furama hotel. Sheena went to the wrong one.. and boy was she grumpy when she finally reached. But dinner was good, and we visited the Cannery at Clarke Quay. so posh, so glam, so not-local.. i dun think i fit in there lah. had sheesha and some drinks, lots of photo taking and chitchatting. overall a very enjoyable ‘girls’ night out. hhaha~

24th Christmas Eve, was invited along for dinner at Charmane’s house, Jeanette’s boss. hahaha my 1st time at such an event, and it was pretty nice~ Met Charmane and Jamie once before, and got to know Ann and Don (apparently quite famous in the event management field). Their kids were cute! i was playing with them most of the night.. kids are always easy to mix around with. Esme and Byrce and Axel their names. Watched Love Actually again, and the scene where this guy flashed all the cardboards still gets to me. how heartbreaking is that… to have the girl you deem perfect marry the guy who is your best friend.. i dun think i could be like him. anyway tt scene IS and will ALWAYS be the most touching scene to me. the words he said, with injection of british humour, was so simple and sweet, yet touching and true. Oh and thanks for the cookies Jeanette, they are wonderful! forgive me for letting Ro take one ok?

finally today. 29th December, JJC 25th anniversary dinner. met with a few teachers, namely Mdm Shirley Chan, still looking as young as she used to when she was Miss; 白老师, 还是十年如一日; Mrs Lee Mee Har, now principal of a school already; Mr Chua, never my teachet but my sec school Chem teacher’s husband; Mdm Sim, still looks like she wanna kill me for not doing well for A’levels Biology; 林老师, 越来越有福气相; and the evergreen and energetic Mr Lee Hee Fock. gosh time flies, it’s been 5 years already since i left JC.. It was definitely the best times of my school life. My closest friends all came from there, Yueling and IFF. oh well at least the teachers remembered me.. most of them. ahhaha~

It’s good to meet my teachers once more.

it has been 4 months since my birthday, but the coming true of my wish seems nowhere in sight. I believe one day it will, and then the Sky will clear. =)

Kid’s camp

Wednesday, December 6th, 2006

it’s been 2 days after exams, and i still aint got the chance to sleep in! had to wake up 7am for the past 2 days, for i am volunteering in a kid’s camp as group leader. First day was a disaster, cause i had to pay a $22.20 taxi fare due to traffic jam from my house to Gan Eng Seng Pri at Redhill area. *puke blood* Other than that, the kids were little devils! haha but i guess i’m a bigger devil… Pretty much still can command their attention and respect, as well as being approachable to them. I guess i’m just a big kid in reality. Today was slighty better, as some of the more mischievious kids learnt that they have to behave reasonably in order to get my attention. It is what most of them are after really. Here’s a poem i came up with while the kids had to write a poem of their own with a given template:

For three days,
at Gan Eng Seng,
I was stuck with many friends.
Kids of different ages,
all of them unique pages,
of a book known as childhood.
Across Singapore’s neighbourhoods.
We had fun and laughter and joy,
in the limited time span, we try.
With hopes that they grow,
into giant trees that shine and glow.

well it’s the last day tmr, a tinge of sadness mixed with relief i guess. Cause in the end, most of us also craves attention, and kids can give you the utmost attention. =)
